A friendly reminder: We can't solve the climate crisis without treating it like a crisis. What does that mean? It means we can't solve the climate crisis without treating it like a crisis. And to this day we never have. Not once. Not one single time. Ever. #MindTheGap

Yes, we are all responsible for the climate- and biodiversity emergency. We - the 99,9% - have a responsibility to put pressure on the 0,1% in charge who refuse to stop the ongoing destruction of present and future living conditions for life on earth. #MindTheGap #BiodiversityDay

"The Biden administration has issued at least 31 new drilling permits authorizing operations on federal land and coastal waters." Well well well... while we do appreciate beautiful speeches and promises - we prefer action. rigzone.com/news/wire/bide…

We're very honoured by this! But in all fairness @amazon , if you consider schoolchildren fighting for the right to a safe future to be a "threat to your business", then you seriously need to reconsider your priorities... #FridaysForFuture businessinsider.com/amazon-jeff-be…

"There are more delegates at COP26 associated with the fossil fuel industry than from any single country" I don't know about you, but I sure am not comfortable with having some of the world's biggest villains influencing & dictating the fate of the world. bbc.com/news/science-e…

I have put together a book with over 100 contributors that will share expertise and experiences from people all over the world. These crises are the biggest story in the world, and they must be spoken as far and wide as our voices can carry, and much further still.

The UK government has decided not to intervene with the plans of opening a brand new English coal mine. This really shows the true meaning of so called “net zero 2050”. These vague, insufficient targets long into the future basically mean nothing today. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

We ask the European Commission @vonderleyen and @TimmermansEU to #StopFakeRenewables and remove forest biomass from the Renewable Energy Directive. You can plant trees, but you cannot plant forests. Forests are not renewable.

So nice with real, cold winter in Sweden. Still, todays average temp for Nth Hemisphere is +1°C above 1979-2000 baseline. Daily charts like these from University of Maine should be in all daily news. This is a global crisis and needs holistic reporting. climatereanalyzer.org/wx/DailySummar…

So it’s official. Unless the EU tear up their new #Fitfor55 package, the world will not stand a chance of staying below 1,5°C of global heating. That’s not an opinion, once you include the full picture it’s a scientific fact. #MindTheGap between words and action.

Today is #IntlForestDay We’re loosing 10 million acres of forest every year, at a time when we need to maximise every possible carbon sink. In some places planting trees is a great solution but given our timeframe the most effective way is to protect and rewild existing forests.

”If Joe Biden called you and said he could wave a presidential magic wand, what you tell him to do?” - Nothing. Because that would be undemocratic and democracy is the most precious thing we have. My interview with @mehdirhasan @MehdiHasanShow on @MSNBC #FaceTheClimateEmergency

Today is #WorldOvershootDay - the day when we've used up the world's resources for 2021. On national levels this date varies a lot. In my country Sweden it occurs on April 6th. We're not just stealing the future - we're also stealing the present from other parts of the world.

”A leaked document showed more than 124,000 items marked as 'destroy' in just a week.” This is just ONE warehouse. If you have a system where this possible - and even profitable - that’s a clear sign that something is fundamentally wrong. twitter.com/itvnews/status…
