The 6.7 magnitude quake which hit South Nias, North Sumatra at 4.09am was felt strongly by locals near the epicenter, local BPBD reported. No tsunami warning was issued but the quake caused panic as it lasted around one minute. The quake was followed by a 6.0, 30 minutes later.

The 51 year old driver of a black Mercedes which crashed into an ojek driver at SCBD in Jakarta this morning died at the scene. Police suspect he had a heart attack which caused him to lose control of the car just prior to the crash.
The ojek driver suffered minor injuries.

From 1 March, incoming travelers both foreigners and Indonesian nationals can exit quarantine after three days provided they’ve already had a booster shot.
If national vaccination levels improve and infections fall, self or home quarantine for travelers may be an option.
