America welcomes Japan’s unequivocal, unambiguous, & uncompromising condemnation of Russia’s reckless threats to use nuclear weapons. As @kishida230 stated, these threats are absolutely unacceptable. There’s no place, time, or justification for nuclear provocation.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Sachio Kinugasa, Japan’s own “Iron Man." After the 2011 triple disasters, Mr. Kinugasa, along w/Cal Ripken, Jr., held baseball clinics for Tohoku students in an Embassy sports diplomacy program. My heartfelt sympathy to his loved ones.
