After doing a decent chunk of testing, it appears that Flame Body is the only ability in Scarlet & Violet with an overworld function.
Compoundeyes, Synchronize, Super Luck, Static, Magnet Pull, Cute Charm (and likely others) do not seem to work.

Baxcalibur is one of the strongest pseudo designs.
It does a perfect job of combining various rounded and sharp shapes to create an intimidating creature, that can still come off as goofy or cute.
