This was one of the first animation l ever made (12 years ago) with no clues of how animation even worked.
I just told myself ..... I want to feel like an animator 😳
Then looking at it moving brang a strong emotion, it was like l did magic!
Through this day I never stopped.

Don't think about the industry, just do what you like, experiment.
The word "Industry" gave me so much stress, I always avoided that subject and just animated with friends, I think it's what helped me to just enjoy my creations without worrying of my futur too much :)

Then time flies, you keep doing stuff you likes (did lots LOTS of fanarts! It helped me a lot, it's not cheating!)
And then realised l could animate that ....and l was in tears.
