I'm all about supporting artists, I'm pretty sure I express that a lot..
But if an artist is going to take advantage of a client's wallet, not provide any wips or updates 5+months (literally no communication)
I can't stay silent about it
It's happening way too frequently

To avoid having problems with some artists usually it’s best to check if they have the following:
- TOS
- a trello/google sheets/websites that show their progress/waitlist
I personally would get worried if I don’t see any of this 🙃 but if an artist does, they’re amazing 👏

I saw 5-6 threads like this the past 2 days, communicating with your client is part of the job, they’re commissioning you because they like your work, and if you don’t communicate you break the trust
don’t take commissions if you can’t handle that 💀

To be honest
I’m tired of these: artists doing commissions are delicate flowers so please don’t pester them about your commission status (paid, no updates ongoing 5+month) when we just went through a pandemic
Stop abusing your clients, they had to work to pay for the commission
