When we localized the original one for US, it needed to get rid of that funny part to get “E” rating of ESRB. And seems like it is still a requirement to get “E” rating. At the beginning of the game, the king mentions what he got drunk and destroyed the all stars in JP version:)

Correction => when the “Drunken” king of all cosmos destroys all the stars in the sky “under the influence of alcohol”.

Remastered Katamari is coming on Dec 7 (Dec 20 in Japan). To say honestly, I have not played it, and also I have not played original one at least for 10 years. I just hope katamari still makes you smile, even off-set sticks:)
