When I spent time in South America, I met a lot of players who had so much skill & ability. I could see that the only reason they aren't EVO champions is they don't have the resources to leave their country. People that can go to events don't always appreciate how lucky they are

Being an expert at FGs is not only about playing. There are expert combo makers, strategists, glitch finders, frame gurus, commentators, analysts, developers, etc. These are all fg experts, just different types. Playing is just one side of it.

Fighting games are difficult, it's ok to be frustrated, it's ok to be annoyed. You want to do well, and you feel you're failing but failure is temporary and glory is forever, always remember that. Get on discord etc, ask for advice, find supportive people. Lastly, you got this!💪

Tekken attracted me because it WASNT projectiles and meter management. I loved that cos I could express myself differently. I feel guest characters are not the problem, bringing over part of the game system I played Tekken to get away from is counter productive for me personally.
