In Splatoon 2, Jelfonzo changes his shirt daily, and one of the designs he changes into is this white and red shirt with inkling text on it. extracting the texture gets us a better look at the text on the shirt, and its in a decipherable script.

crazy how disrespectful people are being with splatoon 3 story spoilers...the fact that the game isnt out for another 5 days and i feel *lucky* to have avoided the spoilers i have shouldn't be happening. so many people i know have had part of the experience ruined for them.

im surprised "inkfish" never really caught on in the english-speaking splatoon community as a shorthand for "inklings and octolings," akin to "イカタコ" in JP. usually i see "cephalings" or "cephalopods" which still have a lot of letters
"inkfish" even gets used in game by flow
