Recently the game MOON came out in English on Nintendo Switch. It's an adventure game where you explore an RPG world gathering "LOVE" from various strange characters. This concept was an inspiration for UNDERTALE.

The idea of Ralsei ever looking different was actually fairly recent. Same with abandoning Susie's ponytail. (And making her look tough...) Anyway, as I always say, sometimes it takes a long time to come up with the right idea, so it's OK if you don't get it perfect right away

Also found this way less good concept art drawn by me. Due to timing I had to make the sequence shorter, but originally I wanted to show them looking at the "stars" together, drawing pictures, eating pie, etc.

Unrelatedly, people always ask me when Ch2 is coming, but as I stated previously, my current (loose plan) is to deal with releasing new chapters when all of them are completed. So expect Ch2 (and other chapters) in however many years it takes to complete the project.

Today I was able to meet ZUN, creator of the Touhou series, and talk while drinking beers. I'm happy I could meet someone who was such a big inspiration to me. And, surprised to hear that he liked playing my game as well (and thought Undyne's music was cool)
