So this chapter seems to indicate that awakened Zoan users have a "hagoromo" (cloud scarf from Japanese mythology) around them, which would pretty much confirm that Yamato is most likely an awakened Zoan

However, the cloud scarf around Luffy's neck in Gear 4th seems to indicate that Gear 4th was already awakening, at least a partial one. Kaido also explained how Gear 4th went against the basic properties of rubber, meaning Luffy was beginning to tap into his awakened abilities

So what about Kaido? Was he ever awakened? Well, in transformed form, he did actually have hagoromo scarf clouds like Luffy, Yamato, or Lucci, but it's hard to say if they're the same or just a fire element he generates. Wish Oda had been clearer on this so we could know for sure
