With today's update, a ship that sinks will jettison its supply barrels. This means that more ammo, food and planks will remain in play following PvP fights and also provide an assurance that you'll never again lose a Shadow Stormfish due to an unnoticed leak.

Apparently some people like being straw hat pirates. If you're one such scoundrel, you can unlock the Seafarer's Sun Hat during Season Seven by reaching Renown level 96. You can do it, never lose sight of your goal!
