the way sm probably got contacted by multiple news sites to clarify the instagram situation so sm had to reach baekhyun for direct clarification (all while my boy was working 😅)

PS. I believe SM used an umbrella term of "delete" to explain the disappearance of the posts but it could also be that Baekhyun chose to archive his posts.
There is a function on Instagram that allows for mass archiving of posts so that could explain how it was done quickly.

SM Entertainment clarified that the sudden disappearance of Baekhyun's Instagram posts was not due to an account hack.
"For planning and composition of a new (Instagram) feed after his military discharge, the posts were personally deleted by Baekhyun."
