I had the chance to meet him at his workshop, a few months before he left us. I discovered an artist full of joy and humor who never stopped making images.
His paintings will remain permanently engraved in my desire to transcribe the poetry of the world.

Masayasu Uchida is a prodigious artist who makes all his compositions with torn paper. I only found out last week that he passed away in 2019 at the age of 97.
