HAPPY SPIDER-MAN DAY! Had to show my mentor @TheChaseConley some love with his new design. I’ve been so busy with a Static that I hadn’t had a chance to draw it. I’m so glad it’s being well received. He deserves it. As usual, I aimed for a more cinematic feel.

Here is my cover for Static Issue 5! I’m very excited about this issue, because it mostly action! @definitelyvita knows how much I like action, so I’m glad they’re throwing me a bone here. Hahaha.
They wanted this to have an old video game feel, particularly DOOM.

Comic/manga artists….please….for the love of God…. Study film so you can come up with more cinematic shots. Move the camera around. One rule I have when I have when I’m stumped is, “When it doubt make it cinematic.” Frame it like a movie. It does wonders. Trust me.

A better look at Static’s “Run It Back” suit. Unlike the previous suit, I was given more freedom here. The blue outfit that’s been in the marketing is still Canon, this is just one of many looks to come. Hope you folks like it.
