I don’t think people understand the pressure that books/movies/games with characters of color are constantly under. We don’t get to be mediocre. You don’t get to take it easy. You don’t get a pass for doing subpar work. You have to be exceptional on all fronts at all times.

Virgil’s new “RUN IT BACK” Starter Suit. This one I actually got to design from the ground up. The outfit is designed to alternate in a more practical way. I personally have always liked the long coat, @definitelyvita envisioned it to be some kind of Fireman Jacket.

Just a reminder, the hero’s name and original comic is STATIC and not STATIC SHOCK. Static Shock is the title of the animated series and even in the series he is referred to as STATIC. Don’t call him Static Shock! It’s just Static! Put some respect on that name!

Comic/manga artists….please….for the love of God…. Study film so you can come up with more cinematic shots. Move the camera around. One rule I have when I have when I’m stumped is, “When it doubt make it cinematic.” Frame it like a movie. It does wonders. Trust me.
