I (Merry) have been thinking of stepping down as the writer of our meme comics for a while. They are fun sometimes, but I honestly don't think I am well suited to comedy in the slightest.
I feel I'm better at romance / serious stories.

I am sad to say that due to a photo being taken with me at a convention being used to threaten me, I no longer feel comfortable taking selfies with fans at conventions.

Before moving on, I just want to clarify.
I'm not being threatened as in, they'll reveal my face. My face has been public for years. It's being threatened with physical violence, by the person who took the selfie with me.

Dear terminally online twitter, not everyone scrolls through memes 6+ hours a day. Just because a meme is dead to you within 5 hours doesn't mean the rest of the internet is cringe for making a quick joke about it.

I know you guys like them, and I appreciate it, but I wanted to ask, do you enjoy them for the slice of life / gijinka / romance / horror, rather than comedy?
Should we just quit comedy entirely?

As you guys might know, over the last years I have felt very unhappy with my work as a writer. The reason why I get bothered by criticism, is because in a way I also agree with it. My comics often do boil down to just being stupid memes.
