2nd, we’re preventing “liked by” & “followed by” recommendations from showing up in your home timeline. This will likely slow down how quickly Tweets from accounts & topics you don’t follow reach you, but is a worthwhile sacrifice to encourage thoughtful & explicit amplification.

@jack The phone number associated with the account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider. This allowed an unauthorized person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number. That issue is now resolved.

@bascule We tested for bias before shipping the model & didn't find evidence of racial or gender bias in our testing. But it’s clear that we’ve got more analysis to do. We'll continue to share what we learn, what actions we take, & will open source it so others can review and replicate.
