IDF troops & the Israeli Police just thwarted a weapon smuggling attempt along the Jordanian border in the Arava area. Our troops confiscated weapons & apprehended a number of suspects.
An IDF reservist and a suspect were moderately injured & were evacuated to a hospital.
2017
For the first time in 2 years, we are hosting a full size, 9-day delegation of former US military generals and admirals led by @jinsadc.
The delegation met various IDF officials incl. Chief of the General Staff, LTG Aviv Kohavi, discussing current & future threats to Israel.
2018
Arson balloons were launched from Gaza into Israel yesterday, causing multiple fires. In response, IDF fighter jets struck Hamas military compounds last night, which were used as meeting sites for Hamas terror operatives.
Hamas will bear the consequences for its actions.
2019
An initial report was received of a combined car-ramming and stabbing attack adjacent to the village of Hizma, southeast of Ramallah.
The assailant was neutralized at the scene.
2020
Following the report, the assailant attempted to ram into a number of IDF soldiers, exited her vehicle with a knife drawn and was neutralized in response.
During the incident, an IDF soldier was lightly injured.

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Aviv Kohavi, will leave Sunday for an official visit to the US as a guest of the Chairman of @thejointstaff, #GenMilley

In response to arson balloons launched from Gaza into Israel, we struck military compounds and a rocket launch site belonging to Hamas in Gaza.
The IDF has increased its readiness for various scenarios & will continue to strike Hamas terror targets in Gaza.

The sirens that sounded in southern Israel were triggered by incoming fire, not rockets, from Gaza towards Israel.

Our troops, in cooperation with the Israeli Police, spotted suspects smuggling a bag from Lebanon into Israel. The suspect on the Israeli side of the border was apprehended & 12 firearms were confiscated.
The suspect was transferred to security forces for further questioning.
