Reminiscing about Arcades being a great place to learn is just a case of Survivorship Bias. The reason why they were full of serious and motivated players was because they were the only ones who stuck around. Way more people got gatekept and lost motivation.

Made a tweet about about DBFZ players picking up GG and got a bunch of comments like these. I know it’s a very small minority, but was really surprised people still think like this after three years.
Kind of reminds me of what we dealt with during early P4U.
