enjoying studying comes naturally when you’re less concerned with numbers (hours of study, class rank, %, etc) and more about educating yourself and learning new things every day.

it’s never too late to start prioritizing your studies. one week before finals? that’s okay. put your phone away, grab a drink and slowly start getting on with the work. you’ll be surprised how much you get done. remember: it’s only over when you decide in your head that it is.

people in their finals season! i have a tip for you: do not over-study the day before an exam. this seems very random but i found that taking the exact day before the exam off and relaxing/focusing on yourself to increase my potenial in the exam. i’ve always found studying—

coffee, study dates with myself, reading, doing things i’m passionate about, organizing, self-care, studying, tea, saturday nights, having long phone calls with friends, listening to calming music, relaxing and being kind to others and oneself ♡

i mean it when i say don’t talk about your plans to other people. you’re trying to get into this top university? study hard and then show them your results. keep your intentions to yourself, as you’ll be amazed at how many people will be wishing for your downfall.

for people that don’t want to spend long hours to study: use the blurting method for effective revision! i mean it when i say even 30 minutes of blurting goes a long way, and will build your long term memory on the topic more than just reading/re-taking notes etc. blurting is-

your future self depends on you. if you’re tired, do it tired. if you’re sad, do it sad. just DO IT. get yourself up and do whatever you need to do to make sure you’ll get where you want to in the future. make it so that in 10 years time you can wholeheartedly say “i made it.”
