The Formosat-7 satellite was launched from @NASAKennedy today, a product of the largest #Taiwan-#US joint scientific project in recent years. Data from Formosat-7 will make meteorological forecasts more accurate, & help protect #Taiwan’s people, economy, & environment.

Here in #Taiwan we celebrate #ReligiousFreedom, and it’s not uncommon to see a Confucian temple, a Buddhist temple, and a shrine to local gods within walking distance. Today, the temple’s performing group wowed our special guests with an electrifying show.

My condolences on the passing of Fr. Andrés Díaz de Rábago. Of his 104 years, Fr. de Rábago devoted more than 50 to Taiwan, where he became a citizen in 2017. We are forever grateful for all he contributed to our country.
