I am devastated by the news of a serious earthquake in south & southwest Haiti, and on behalf of the people & government of Taiwan want to express our deepest condolences to everyone affected. Taiwan stands ready to assist Haiti in rescue & recovery efforts.

Today, a shipment of 265,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses arrived in #Taiwan, where they will go toward our vaccination drive. Getting vaccinated doesn’t just help protect yourself & the people around you from COVID-19–it also reduces the burden on our medical personnel.

#Taiwan today took delivery of nearly 600,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. With more than 10 million in Taiwan having received at least one jab, we will keep up our push to acquire & administer vaccines to protect the health of the Taiwanese people.
