After meeting with members of the US Congress from both sides of the aisle, I was heartened by their strong bipartisan support for #Taiwan. Thank you to @SpeakerMcCarthy & all our American friends. When we stand together, we are all stronger.

On our stopover in #LA, we were reunited with two good friends, @BoardChairAIT Rosenberger & Rep @bikhim, & received a warm #California welcome. On the home stretch of our trip, we'll continue to give our all to bring #Taiwan to the world.

Ending a very productive & rewarding time in Belize, I visited an exhibit of the #Taiwan-#Belize #WomenEmpowerment project. With such promising results, we look forward to seeing even more women realize their goals and being all that they can be.

Honored to accompany @DrGiammattei to #Guatemala’s Tikal National Park, a #WorldHeritageSite, to appreciate the architecture & culture of the ancient Mayans. The view from the top of Temple II is an awe-inspiring reminder to us all to protect our cultural & natural heritages.

It was a joy to see #Taiwan’s friends & compatriots here in #Guatemala, & to witness the results of our partnership in areas like agriculture. Taiwan will continue to work with its partners and seek more engagement with the world.

My accepting the Global Leadership Award from the @HudsonInstitute’s CEO John P. Walters & Chair Sarah Stern is in truth a tribute to the people of #Taiwan. We will continue to work with like-minded partners to show that we can & will prevail in defending our democratic values.

I’m grateful to hear their experiences as #Taiwanese living & working in the #US. Each of them was pursuing a unique dream by coming here, but I believe we all share the same hope—to bring Taiwan to the world & the world to Taiwan.

Just down the street at Josh Ku’s @SonWinBrooklyn, I met with young #Taiwanese professionals, actor Leo Chang, @tecompany’s Elena Liao, CUNY prof. of Mandarin Ming-Ying Li, & @YosekaBox’s Neil Ni & Daisy Chen over Taiwanese breakfast & heard about their hard paths to success.

On day 2 in #NewYork, I met with @lisachengsmith and Lillian Lin, founders of @yunhaishop, a store that sells #MadeInTaiwan products like Tatung electric pots. When China banned Taiwan pineapple imports, they raised funds to sell the dried fruit in the #US to support our farmers.

After 3 long years, I had the pleasure of reuniting with our overseas #Taiwanese community & our #US friends in New York to share #Taiwan’s achievements during this time.

We are now en route to visit our diplomatic allies #Guatemala & #Belize. The theme of this trip, "Meeting Democratic Partners, Fostering Shared Prosperity," expresses our determination to foster deeper exchange and cooperation between #Taiwan and our allies.
