I launched #NewSouthboundPolicy 3 years ago because I saw so much untapped potential for #Taiwan to play a bigger role in the development of our region. Today the policy has borne fruit & set up a stage for Taiwan & NSP countries to work even closer together in the future.

This month we officially began construction work on #Taiwan’s very first offshore wind farm in Taichung. Three years ago, some said that was impossible or too complex. I said #WeCanDoIt.
And now we are doing it.

Our Coast Guard works day in & day out to keep everything from illegal narcotics to African Swine Fever from entering #Taiwan. They put their lives on the line for their country each day, & we’re committed to offering them better healthcare to reflect their selfless service.
