You need line-of-sight to place the portal (can't place it around corners), and it has a maximum distance.
Teammates/enemies can use the one-way portal, but it disappears after around 15 seconds.

According to Valve, Apex Legends will run on Steam Deck.
“The entire Steam catalog is available to people who have this device. We haven't really found something we could throw at this device that it couldn't handle."

There is currently an exploit in Apex Legends allowing the Rampage LMG and Sentinel to be charged up infinitely.
Hopefully a fix coming soon, next update is expected on Wednesday.
Would advise not using the exploits as could result in punishments.
