Luffy's new technique "Red Roc" reminds us of the origin of ONE PIECE story. Roc/Rukh is a legendary bird in Middle East. Oda already made it appear as "Mysterious Bird Rukh" in Romance Dawn known as a prototype of OP. Red Roc is a cool naming for this memorial chapter 1000.😍

24 years ago, Oda told the Film Red director about the whole story of One Piece until the ending. The director recently said he wishes OP would end soon because it has been so painful to not spill the beans.🤣 BTW, Straw Hat VAs said they don't know how OP will end.

You can find a toothpick in Ushimaru's mouth in chapter 1024. This is based on a JP proverb 武士は食わねど高楊枝, meaning Samurais have so much pride that they use a toothpick to pretend as if they've already eaten something and are not hungry at all. 😋

Sanji taking care of Zoro in chapter 1012 was heartwarming. In Film Gold (2016), Oda advised that the staff should definitely add a scene where Sanji is secretly worried about Zoro, who was going to be executed. On the other hand, Zoro was worried about Sanji in chapter 815☺️

I'm surprised official Viz didn’t translate the line of Ushimaru being 大剣豪 (Dai-Kengou: great swordsman) in the latest chapter. It’s important because only him, Mihawk and Ryuma are called Dai-Kengou in all chapters till now. Zoro's dream is to become the strongest Dai-Kengou.

In OP chapter 939, it’s revealed that Hyou was known as the Mighty Blade (豪剣). Actually this Mighty Blade term was already used in chapter 23, 195 and 467. Zoro and Ryuma are classified as Mighty Blade type. Sadly, there is a translation inconsistency in official Viz version😅
