A former OP editor was in one-way love with a classmate in high school. In 2017, she asked, "You're OP editor, right? Would you tell me what One Piece is?" When he refused to accept her request, she blocked him on a messaging app. The editor commented, "What a harsh woman!"😭

Oda (2009): If I drew everything in my head in the Marineford War arc, each chapter would be at least 50 pages.💪 twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Oda hadn't planned to draw Señor Pink's backstory, but after Oda saw his editor was so moved by hearing about his past in the meeting, he decided to include it in the chapter. And the chapter became popular with fans according to Oda. 😊(2015)

As the serialization goes on, Oda sometimes forgets Luffy's techniques and researches them on the internet.😂 He said in 2006 that websites made by OP fans are really helpful.

Oda goes to bed at 9am and wakes up at 12pm (3 hours sleep). His assistants go to bed at 5am and wake up at 12pm. Oda often skips meals for a few days to concentrate on his work. He suffers from moderate diabetes and gout from spending too much time in a chair.😥 (2019)

1 hour ago, Japanese Youtubers called Fischer's posted a video of Oda’s studio. They held an interview with Oda. Here is my summary of the interview. Oda said he’d like to finish OP in 5 years. He kindly gave 7 autographs to each of the Youtubers.😍 Video: youtu.be/sTgvB0Vpyxk

In 2006, Kishimoto, the Naruto mangaka, sent an appreciation email to Oda because he was so moved by the farewell chapter for Going Merry.🥰 Kishimoto also blatantly said that he was jealous of Chopper because he would make a lot of money for Oda through merchandising.🤣

According to OP editor, Oda's blood test in hospital showed he is super-good at handling stress.🥰 On the other hand, his eyesight has been getting weaker and it's the reason why Pandaman appears less often these days.. (2017)

Oda: If I focus on manga without fooling around in SBS, my fans might adore me, but that's not what I want. I just want to be someone like a friendly guy in their neighborhood. They must be thinking I'm an idiot.🤣 They even told me, "We didn't imagine you could marry a woman!"

After a chapter was out, Oda asked editor Sugita if he felt unnanutral somewhere in the chapter. Sugita admitted he had felt a bit unnatural but refrained from pointing it out. Oda got mad, "Don't you dare do that again! Editor's opinion is so important as my first audience!🔥"

Oda (2017): My fans are worried about my short sleep, but sleep is just a waste of time for me. I prefer collecting information for manga. I want to become a robot that doesn't need sleep. Even when I go on a trip with my family, I don't want to sleep much.😅

Oda's first editor Asada (97-2001) left Oda's latest manuscript in a shop by mistake. Shueisha has a rule: editors instantly get fired if they lose manga manuscripts. He hurried to the shop and luckily found it. He recalled in 2017 it was the worst mistake he had ever made.😅

5 minutes ago, ONE PIECE editor Takano revealed in live streaming that he was moved to tears after he read next chapter (986).😭
It was the first time for him to shed tears since he became OP editor. I wonder what next chapter will be like..😍

Oda (2018): I'll put and end to OP when the time has come no matter what Shusieha asks me to prolong the series. It totally depends on my own desicion.💪
*Dragon Ball and Yu Yu Hakusyo were prolonged contrary to the authors' intention. Torishima, former DB editor regretted it.
