Just to clarify, we see the entity as the moon since the symbol of death is typically the moon in fiction. We never know what Sonic and Sage see.

@GastonJametrius He mentioned the time constraint of the development and said they didn't have much time to make the latter part of the game because of too many trials and errors in the early stage. He also added that they tried to make the best true final boss even within the restriction.

According to Kishimoto, the true/physical appearance of the final boss hasn’t been revealed because it depends on how each one perceives what death would look like. Sonic, Sage, and we see different things.

In this article, Kishimoto states he himself rewrote the whole script created by Ian to cater to Japanese/Asia audiences, and this type of adaptation has never done in the Sonic history. This dedication is also reflected in the box arts difference.

- They thoroughly did everything to make the game good.
- They held playtesting once every 3 or 4 months until this July since 2017 or 2018.

It seems that the scripts in #SonicFrontiers are almost entirely different between Japanese and English.

I played the Frontiers demo today, and I think the highlight of the game was the combat instead of exploration or cyber space levels. It was quite simple without unlocking skills, but everything about it felt carefully made and there was no unfair frustration.

BREAKING NEWS: In Japan, Sonic Frontiers BRAND NEW TRAILER with a vocal songs is played before the movie starts. I think the narrator was Megumi Hayashibara (maybe the voice of Sage?)

Tomoya Ohtani says Frontiers has a vocal song (or songs). He also stated that the contrast between the field theme and battle theme is quite distinguishable.
