FEDs in latest June 9th, 2021 filing stated they have $720B in reverse repurchase agreements (RRP / reverse repo's). What's this mean?
-Tutes have borrowed historic collateral from the FEDs to get leverage for cash from lenders (typically big banks). Context below

Simply put - FEDs want collateral back = cash lenders want their money back since collateral is getting pulled.
If tutes have the money, they pay.
If they don't, margin calls.
