One issue that must be navigated carefully is using the rest/recovery as a crutch or excuse. There’s a difference between having a proper plan with built-in recovery and just waking up one morning and taking a “rest day” because you don’t feel like working.

First learned how to lift weights in our basement as a kid with my dad spotting me (lifting those weights you fill with water until I was strong enough for the actual bar 😂)

New lesson learned from experience: when throwing your mom a surprise birthday party 4 months before her actual birthday (because you & your brothers are in season during her real B-Day) make sure you yell WHY you’re yelling “surprise” otherwise she will be very confused 😂😂😂
