When China finally announced the arrest of #12HKyouths, they have already been detained for >1month yet no one has been able to make contact with them. It's very worrying that their basic rights for access to legal counsel has been repeatedly denied.

Max. period of criminal detention under China's laws is 30 days. Failure to apply for an arrest within the period is illegal. HK govt's press release basically confirmed that the Chinese police are now illegally imprisoning #12hkyouths.
