I just hope that you are all well and know that taking care of yourself will always be infinitely more important than proving your legitimacy as an artist to others. Or proving anything to others for that matter (only u know u). Xx..

I believe in art as a means to express darkness and negativity, I do that with my own work. What I mean to express is that I don’t believe it’s necessary to make it your life- you don’t need to identify with darkness and keep yourself in a low place to be a good artist.

I used to believe that I had to be in a dark place emotionally to make art with feeling. This is such a destructive way to live. Being mentally well will not lessen you as an artist- all it will do is lessen the load on your shoulders. t.co/i5NgSgxKl9
