isn’t it kind of funny when people who only know english freak out about asian honorifics and how they’re incestuous because you’re calling someone your “older brother” or something like that
how to even explain that age seniority in general warrants those honorifics 😭

in the same vein I got culture shock from some teenagers calling their parents by their names? or people who are significantly older than them by their names ??? there really are things that are lost in translation so you have to be humble and open-minded
