We keep seeing misinformation about Weverse Albums, so we will clear it up. The Weverse Album for Jack In The Box IS a physical album that comes with a cardholder box, 2 photocards and a QR code photocard that you can use to access the album digitally on the Weverse Album app.

This type of album format has existed in K-Pop since late 2017 (kihno/kits)
Just like kihno/kits, streaming Jack In The Box on the Weverse Album app DOES NOT count for ANY digital charts; however, buying the physical album DOES count for Korean album charts like Hanteo and Gaon.

As for the US, Weverse Album sales DO NOT count for Billboard 200 as Weverse Albums DO NOT have CDs.
But to reiterate again, EVERY purchase of a Weverse Album DOES count for Gaon in Korea. Gaon counts kihno/kits, META albums, USB albums, Weverse Albums, etc as valid sales.

Weverse Albums also count for Hanteo depending on whether the store you buy Jack In The Box from is Hanteo certified or not, but EVERY purchase counts for Gaon, and Korean award shows use Gaon data in determining winners. j-hope CAN win awards with his Weverse Album sales.
