adachi: [breaks up with kurosawa for like 2 days] kurosawa: i am proposing after this adachi: [works 2 weeks somewhere else] kurosawa: i am asking him to move in with me ASAP
honorary mention of this scene of kurodachi looking at their rings because it is absolutely PERFECT
i think the entirety of cherry magic has blended both fairy tale and reality in a hopeful yet honest way. the movie gave insight into the hardships of what it can mean to simply be yourself sometimes. it speaks for equality and acceptance and i need everyone to know that.
this parallel made me SCREAM. see, how they're in the same spot? how both times kurosawa was the one showing weakness, breaking down and how both times adachi was his support?
drama adachi was insecure. he didn't think anyone would ever really love him. he was satisfied with just existing. movie adachi still has his worries, but he has grown. he knows he is loved and he loves strongly in return. he has a future to look forward to.
cherry magic the movie - making off moments i thought were cute: a very low quality thread for those who might not be able to get the blu-ray🍒
kurosawa and adachi are the equivalent of historians calling two obviously homosexual lovers "good friends". you never see them really kiss, but in every second breath they profess their undying love for each other.
kurosawa looking at adachi like he hung the stars is my favourite thing
