UK government has announced "a bee-killing pesticide so poisonous that it is banned by the EU" may be used in England. New coal mines and pesticides... the UK's so called "green industrial revolution" is off to a great start. Very credible indeed. independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…

Logic tells us, the fact this is ignored - or in the best case treated as a minor news story - means: -There's no crisis -This is fine -The science is inaccurate -Scientist are hugely exaggerating -Climate activists are crazy alarmists No wonder there's no change in sight... twitter.com/GretaThunberg/…

2020 was the warmest year ever recorded tied with 2016 according to @CopernicusECMWF "It is notable that 2020 matches the 2016 record despite a cooling La Niña, whereas 2016 was a record year that began with a strong warming El Niño event." climate.copernicus.eu/copernicus-202…

The UK government has decided not to intervene with the plans of opening a brand new English coal mine. This really shows the true meaning of so called “net zero 2050”. These vague, insufficient targets long into the future basically mean nothing today. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

Study in Nature says "the carbon pollution already put in the air will push global temperatures to about 2.3°C". But of course this doesn't mean it's "game over". It means we're in a crisis and we'd better start to act like it. #FaceTheClimateEmergency time.com/5926319/global…

When your house is on fire you don’t wait another 10, 20 or 30 years before calling the fire department. When your house is on fire you don’t wait another 10, 20 or 30 years before you stop actively pouring petroleum on the flames. You act now. In every way you possibly can.

"Tyvärr – och det är allvarligt – har klimatjournalistiken alltför länge omgärdats av förbehåll, uppsatta av journalisterna själva, som gjort att frågan inte skildrats på ett rättvist sätt. Medierna har väjt undan av rädsla för vara för nattsvarta". dn.se/kultur/jonatha…

Verkligen ett stort tack för att ni - och alla era läsare - har avstått från att sprida hat, hot, lögner och konspirationsteorier fram tills idag! twitter.com/friatider/stat…

Thank you so much for all the well-wishes on my 18th birthday! Tonight you will find me down at the local pub exposing all the dark secrets behind the climate- and school strike conspiracy and my evil handlers who can no longer control me! I am free at last!!

Jag har avstått väldigt många flygresor under den här klimatkrisen, men den här resan tyckte jag var nödvändig.

But, hey! Our leaders have set up some vague hypothetical targets decades into the future full of loopholes and based on incomplete numbers - so we can all continue to ignore the consequences of our actions, pretend everything is all right and go back to sleep! twitter.com/tveitdal/statu…

My deepest gratitude to everyone fighting to wake people up to the climate and ecological crisis. The reason we're still in this mess is because we're outnumbered by those telling us to go back to sleep, saying sufficient action is taken when it's not. In 2021, let's change this!

Happy New Year! May 2021 be the year of awakening and real bold change. And let’s all continue the never-ending fight for the living planet. #FaceTheClimateEmergency #FightFor1point5

This has been pointed out over and and over again throughout 2020 by leading experts and yet it has been pretty much completely ignored in the debate. twitter.com/swetac/status/…

This is the place we call “normal”. But ”normal” was also a crisis, and it’s no place to return to after the pandemic. It’s a place we must leave to safeguard future living conditions. We must start to move towards a zero carbon society while leaving no one behind in the process.

Preliminary data show that the 2020 7% emission decrease is erased by a slightly weaker carbon land sink. This is almost impossible to grasp... twitter.com/Peters_Glen/st…

There's a myth that young people get anxious or depressed when people talk about the reality of the climate crisis. My experience is the opposite. The worst part is denial, looking away, downplaying or spreading false hope saying ”we'll fix this” without taking sufficient action.

The movie “I Am Greta” is now steaming on Hulu (USA), ARD Mediathek (Germany), DocPlay (Australia), Crave (Canada) and SVT play (Sweden). In early 2021 also on BBC, NRK, DR, YLE and approx 70 other countries including China, Russia and India.
